Did you know that in June, NCG launched an education recovery plan to support all of its students from September 2021?
Or that a Newcastle Sixth Form College alumna won ‘Engineering Heroes Top 50 Women in Engineering’ award on International Women in Engineering Day?
How about the students taking part in a week-long Industry Week where they were set briefs by major employers?
Now there’s a new way to keep up with the latest news and successes from across NCG’s colleges. NCG has launched two brand-new dedicated news sites, allowing valued stakeholders, colleagues and students to stay up-to-date with all NCG related news in one place.
The new sites use a social aggregator platform to showcase the amazing work of colleagues and students across all seven of its colleges, bringing together content from its websites, social media channels and even press coverage.
The sites have been split into themed content that supports the Group’s strategic objectives in its Strategy Towards 2030.
‘NCG Creating Impact’ hosts the latest NCG news coverage and thought leadership from across the Group, making it easy to find NCG’s recent press coverage and comment on issues in the education sector.
The second site, ‘NCG Students’ shares some of the exciting things students across all of its colleges are involved in or sharing on social media on a daily basis, featuring content including work produced by students, success stories from alumni and work experience and projects that learners have been involved in.
Mark Coulthard, Director of Marketing and Communications at NCG commented:
“We have tens of thousands of students studying with us across our seven colleges. Every day there are stories to celebrate and share and these platforms allow us to bring these together in one place.
“The education sector has such a positive impact on the lives of so many and although we are a national college group, our colleges are very much at the heart of their local communities, making a positive difference every single day.
“Our new sites showcase all of our positive initiatives and really demonstrate the powerful and transformational impact that education has.”
