Newcastle College serves around 16,000 learners every year and, as well as their main facility in the heart of the city, also has a number of satellite sites across the North East.
The College has over 100 full-time vocational courses on offer to those aged 16-18 and more than 300 part-time, evening, daytime and evening courses available to anyone looking to learn something new.
For those wanting to go into higher education, Newcastle College University Centre is one of the the largest providers of higher education in the further education sector and one of the only colleges in the UK with the Taught Degree Awarding Powers (TDAP).
In 2018, Newcastle College was been awarded the prestigious Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education, in recognition for its outstanding commitment to vocational training through its Transport Academy.
The Newcastle College Rail Academy has had fantastic success since opening in September 2014. It demonstrates how the College is helping to not only fill the skills gap in the North East, but also work directly with businesses to ensure that the students have a direct route into industry.
