Students studying for an NCG award are based at Carlisle College, Kidderminster College, Southwark College, or our largest college, Newcastle College University Centre. Most of our provision is based within Newcastle College University Centre, which offers higher technical education that is recognised for our inclusive approach where students are supported to achieve their best, our impact on the local community, and our national influence and reach.
Our Higher Education model offers an alternative route to higher technical qualifications, set in a student-focused learning environment where developing professional skills for future careers is paramount.
Preparing students for their future career is at the heart of everything we do. Our strong industry links, fantastic facilities and opportunities to work with employers and industry experts help our students graduate ready for the world of work.
We were the first Further Education (FE) college to achieve Taught Degree Awarding Powers on an indefinite basis, allowing us to develop, validate and deliver our own degree qualifications up to Level 7.

HE Student Protection Plan
Our Student Protection Plan sets out what students can expect to happen should a course, campus, or institution close. The purpose of the plan is to ensure that our students can continue and complete their studies, or can be compensated, if this is not possible.
All Higher Education providers registered with the OfS must have a Student Protection Plan in place.
NCG Access and Participation Plans
Our Access and Participation Plan sets out how we will improve equality of opportunity for underrepresented groups to access, succeed in and progress from Higher Education.
• our ambition for change
• what we plan to do to achieve that change
• the targets we have set
• the investment we will make to deliver the plan.
