Lewisham College recently hosted a Higher Education Fair to provide young people and adults with valuable insights into their next steps towards higher education.

The fair gave learners an opportunity to engage with university representatives, explore degree apprenticeships, and gain a deeper understanding of various career options.

Designed to help both young people and mature learners make well-informed decisions about their future, the College hosted more than 20 universities, including Middlesex University, Point Blank Music School, and the University of Roehampton. Representatives provided valuable information on student life, course details, UCAS applications, tuition fees, financial considerations, and much more.

Julio David Parada Ribera, a Level 3 IT learner at Lewisham College, said: “The event has been beneficial as it has provided me with an insight into life at university, and it has given me further information on entry requirements and any enrichment activities the universities offer. I want to study Game Design, and it was interesting to speak to the College of E-Sports and Staffordshire University on their course offer."

Jayne Morgan, Vice Principal at Lewisham College, said: “We are delighted to have hosted the Higher Education Fair, welcoming University representatives to inspire our learners and provide helpful course advice and guidance. We hope the fair has given our learners options across many universities and clarity about what they would like to do after college.

“At Lewisham College, our dedication lies in helping our learners reach their aspirations and guiding them to make well-informed decisions about their next steps, whether in higher education or employment.”
