James Edge

James has been appointed as Interim Principal of Newcastle Sixth Form College for a 12-month period.  

About James

James joined Newcastle College in 2014 as an Aviation Lecturer and later became part of the Teaching, Learning and Assessment team before moving into curriculum management, leading both the Rail and Civil Engineering Academy and the Automotive Academy. He then spent three years as Director of Health, Science and Welfare before becoming Assistant Principal in 2023, responsible for leadership and oversight of key areas including English and Maths, Apprenticeships and Estates.

Throughout his career at Newcastle College, James has demonstrated strong educational leadership, a commitment to continuous improvement and a clear focus on delivering positive outcomes for students.
