Newcastle Sixth Form College students took on the Royal Society of Chemistry Chemistry Olympiad - a competition designed to challenge, inspire and stretch the very best young chemists.

By applying A-level Chemistry knowledge to unfamiliar, real-world problems, students demonstrated exceptional critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills.

7 students received Silver (Top third nationally)
8 students received Bronze (Top 70%)
