With help from Carlisle College students, Age UK Carlisle and Eden held a vintage fashion show at Carlisle College on Thursday 21 March.

The charity contacted Art and Textiles Design Tutor Hannah Milburn to see if they could work with her students to create a charity fashion show to mark International Ageism Day.

Age Friendly Co-ordinator Joanne Rayson said: "We were keen to hold a celebration of Age Without Limits, and create a 'See and Be Seen' Vintage Fashion Show using upcycled clothes from our Age UK Carlisle and Eden shops. Both Lowther street and Earls Lane store managers welcomed the students to rummage through their stock to create the fashion show."

Models for the show included volunteers from Age UK shops and social inclusion teams, as well as Age UK Carlisle and Eden CEO Alison Ambrose, and Treasurer of Age UK Carlisle and Eden, Brenda Hill.
