Who We Are
NCG’s mission is to ‘enable social mobility and economic prosperity through exceptional education’ and we exist to create life-changing opportunities for individuals that strengthen the prosperity of their local communities.
We are committed to creating inclusive communities of excellent learning and teaching which benefit from sharing best practice developed across the seven learning organisations which are NCG.
Together, our colleges and partners are creating the workforce of the future by enabling all people, regardless of their background, to develop the skills that our local communities need to be successful and sustained.
Our colleges: Carlisle College, Kidderminster College, Lewisham College, Newcastle College, Newcastle Sixth Form College, Southwark College and West Lancashire College.
Our Mission
‘Enabling social mobility and economic prosperity through exceptional education.’
Our Values
Our values are not just about what we do, but also about how we do things. Our colleagues, customers and learners have worked together to help define our values as an organisation – the values which drive our behaviours and effectively place how we work with each other as our defining characteristic.
Values underpin the culture and beliefs of our organisation and foster a sense of pride in working for NCG. Our values set the standard of how we should behave towards our colleagues and give us the opportunity to make the right decisions based on the values we all share.
How We Work With You
NCG is one of the UK’s leading providers of education, training and employability. We have a clear mission to ‘enable social mobility and economic prosperity through exceptional education’ and we do this through the work of our seven colleges.
We offer a wide range of training programmes, from workforce development to supporting job seekers, apprenticeships to work place learning. We work with government, employers and partners to help thousands of people every year start or develop a career.
These collaborations are key to our success in supporting employers who want to invest in their workforce, or industry sectors that have major skills gaps and need specific training and skills to ensure future growth.
